What?

Another opportunity for a great outdoor adventure!

HERO USA, in partnership with Mad River Mountain, invite you The Annual Louie Vito Rail Jam. Over the past 7 seasons, Louie and the Vito Family have hosted an annual for-charity rail jam on the slopes of Mad River Mountain designed to give back to the local community that has been supportive through out his career. This season is no different with plans to make the LVRJ 2011 the largest to date, featuring live entertainment, fireworks and more prizes than ever before.

HERO USA's involvement with this event is geared to introduce the growing Olympic sports of snowboarding and skiing to the general public and the members/staff from the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio. Tubing will also be available for those who are interested. 

The day will be filled with education / training to learn these great sports, entertainment and prizes. The entire event starts at 10am and will conclude at 3am when "midnight madness" ends.  

Whether you are an expert and hitting the black diamonds, or have never been on the slopes, HERO USA has something to offer every age group and skill level. On this day, we will be encouraging the children from the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, while they are given this special opportunity to learn how to ski or snowboard. If you are not a member of these two clubs and you would like your children to be included while we spend time with others on the mountain, please register to attend this event.

HERO USA is also in need of volunteers to help throughout the day. If you are a confident skier or snowboarder and you would like to spend time on the mountain (from 10AM - 3PM) with a child interested in learning how, Register to VOLUNTEER .

How?

Thanks to our partners Mad River Mountain and Snow for Life, we have been given the opportunity to share our enthusiasm for winter recreational activities.

Why?

Not only is skiing/snowboarding fun, but you can burn approximately 600 calories per hour. It’s excellent way to exercise. Remember it is important stay hydrated.
